Northern Lights Hunt Tour

The Northern Lights as seen over the capital of Reykjavik

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon.
The locations visited are different every tour since we go where it’s most likely to see the Northern Lights each day.
This tour is depending on weather and sightings are not guaranteed. If you don't see
any lights on your tour you are welcome to join the tour again free of charge.

You will be picked up from your hotel between 8:00 – 8:30 pm by an experienced English speaking guide. You will travel in a mini bus to the best locations which will vary depending on the weather and viewing conditions. Duration is around 3 – 5 hours.

Optional Golden Circle Tour

The Geyser geothermal area

The Golden Circle is a fascinating experience. You can explore the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers erupt and pools of mud bubble.

The Gullfoss waterfalls

You also stop by the magnificent Gullfoss waterfalls and visit Þingvellir national park, the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. At Thingvellir, the great Atlantic rift is clearly visible; a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.

Iceland has spectacular scenery and much of this is only an hour or two from Reykjavik. Below we suggest some popular options for day and half day excursions which we can arrange for you.

Optional Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon

Optional trip to the Blue Lagoon on your way to the airport. Enjoy the Blue Lagoon for 2-3 hours. You can book a treatment if you like, have a lunch at the Blue Lagoon or just relax in this wonderful spa.

Departure to the UK from Keflavik International Airport, Sunday about 5pm and arrival in Gatwick, London about 8pm.
