ITINERARY SUGGESTION
Arrival at Keflavik airport. Pick up the rental car, drive past Reykjavik, and direction west to the Borgarfjordur Region, where you stay the first night. Explore a few historic and geological sites and drive to the North country through the Skagafjordur region to Akureyri.
The Capital of the North and the Natural Wonders of Myvatn

One night stay In Akureyri, the Capital of the North and one night in the North East. Visit the magnificent Godafoss and Dettifoss Waterfalls, and the Natural Wonders of Myvatn. If you have time, you can enjoy the geothermal baths in Myvatn, and other natural wonders, including Dimmuborgir, Namaskarð and Krafla volcanic area, or take an optional Whale watching tour from Husavik.
Along the East Fjords to the South Country
Drive east to the town of Egilsstadir, and to the rugged coastline of the East Fjords, with their towering mountains and small charming villages. Overnight stay in the East Fjords Region.

Drive south of the Vatnajokull Glacier, visiting the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon and the Skaftafell National Park area. Overnight stay close to the village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur.
The South Coast and The Golden Circle
Drive east to the town of Egilsstadir, and to the rugged coastline of the east fjords, with their towering mountains and small charming villages, Overnight stay in the east fjords region. Drive south of the Vatnajokull Glacier, visiting the Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon and the Skaftafell National Park area. Overnight stay close to the village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur.
Drive along the south coast, enjoy the view to the many glaciers, including the famous Eyjafjallajokull, and stop at the Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls.
Drive to Gullfoss waterfalls and on to Geysir geo-thermal area, continue to Thingvellir National Park, and stay overnight in Reykjavik.
Reykjavik is an exciting modern city with lots to see and do or if you want to visit one of the many spas and swimming pools. Depending on the time of your arrival you may have time for an excursion.
Drive back to Keflavik airport and return the car. Afternoon flights from Keflavik airport.

ACCOMMODATION
The basic package is based on a two people sharing a double/twin room with private facilities and a car.
If you choose a family room for three or more persons, we will do our best to find a better deal for you and your family and friends.
Accommodation is in a self-catering apartment or Hotel with breakfast in central Reykjavik and in the Golden Circle area.
We are able to take advantage of the best accommodation that is available at the time of booking.
