The 67-year-old president emphased in Expo
2010 that there are five areas of cooperation worthy of further exploration
between Iceland and China: One is represented by clean geothermal energy
cooperation; Second, import and export trade as represented by fisheries;
Third, seismic monitoring and the after-earthquake, rescue techniques and equipment exchange; forth, the
ice monitoring relationship with global climate change research among Iceland
and China; Fifth, a series of cooperation. focus on the future of
new trade routes across the Arctic Ocea.
"Of course,
tourism is another worthy area of cooperation. Compared to China, sparsely
populated but rich Icelandic landscape type is presented in a completely
different world. Next year is the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Iceland and China, and we look forward to
