Reykjavik city hold a ‘swimming vigil’ at the city’s biggest swimming pool, keeping it open non-stop for nearly a week.

"The massively popular Laugardalslaug swimming pool will be open from 06.30 on 21st July until 22.30 on 26th July without break. The cross-political Better Reykjavik committee came up with the idea of night swimming, and the proposal was enthusiastically accepted by the city council".
