Having returned from overseas yesterday I had to email to say what a great time Kim and I had in Iceland.
Our trip in late January was so much more than we thought it would be. Firstly to find there were only 12 people on the bus was great, expecting many more passengers. Not only did this mean less waiting for people at stops but also that everybody got to know each other. The tour guide and driver, Jonas, had a wealth of knowledge of Iceland and it’s history which he shared with us. The only one incident happened when the suitcase trailer axel broke from the tour bus. Without any hesitation Jonas moved all suitcases into the bus, contacted the tour company and a new trailer was supplied by the time we reached the next town.
I can’t say enough about Iceland, a beautiful country with gentle people which I hope does not change as tourism grows. There were so many highlights of the trip and we got to see the Aurora Borealis on our last night in the country. All accommodation was of a high standard and breakfasts supplied delicious with no lack of choice or quantity.
Thanks for all your assistance in arranging this holiday and your understanding with the cancellation of Nina’s trip. I’ll certainly be recommending Iceland to other travellers.
